Guests arrived at the beautiful Venue West for the 2019 Concordia Place A Taste for All gala on Thursday, September 19. Once receiving a program, bid paddle and name tag guests entered a beautifully decorated room filled with five city themed buffet stations. Stations included Chinatown, Randolph Street, Pilsen, Ravenswood, and Little Italy! While the buffets and open bar were flowing guests got to mingle and browse the silent auction with 39 items including theater and film packages, spa days, sporting tickets and memorabilia, liquor baskets and much more! There was also a ginormous “wine” wheel where everyone was a winner and got to take home either a bottle of wine, a gift card or a six-pack of Revolution Brewery beer!
As guests found their way to the tables, Paul Lisnek from Chicago’s very own WGN kicked off the live presentation. Rev. Nicholas Zook took a few moments to thank the crowd and introduce the 2019 Go Champions, Bishop Wayne and Pamela Miller. After Bishop Wayne and Pamela Miller’s inspiring speeches, a short video and an introduction to Concordia Place’s President and CEO, Brenda Swartz, led the audience into the fund-in-need where over $150,000 was raised!
The night was extremely successful, and each guest seemed eager for next year’s gala!
