As guests walked in the front doors of the newly remodeled Venue One Loft Chicago, they were greeted with sights of a gamer’s paradise. With a room filled with arcade games such as Pacman, Golden Tee Golf, Plinko, Money Machine and Wine Wheel as well as casino games including Blackjack and Roulette, guests enjoyed hours of fun entertainment. This gaming entertainment allowed all attendees a chance to win great prizes by earning raffle tickets. Prizes included a four day, three-night stay at Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas, a tour of the Firehouse used to film the television show ‘Chicago Fire’ as well as a jacket signed by the cast, and much more!
After hours of gaming and networking, guests were able to enjoy a wonderful dining experience from two full buffets with items such as kafta kabobs, a smoked turkey carving station, and truffle whipped potatoes to name a few. If that wasn’t enough for guests to eat, throughout the evening they could grab glazed pork belly lollipops, lobster medallions, or bacon wrapped dates from passed trays.
Once everyone’s appetite was satisfied, guests entered the main room to take a seat for one of the most captivating live presentations. With all eyes on the stage, Paul Lisnek of Chicago’s own WGN, stepped up to start the evening’s live auction. The three items up for grabs were a private yacht cruise for 10 on Lake Michigan, a Chicago Blackhawks Staycation with tickets, hotel stay, and dinner, and a seven night stay at the Palms Costa Rica in an ocean side villa for six guests including round-trip airport limo transportation and a private chef cooked surf and turf on the beach. Paddles were going up left and right to earn a chance to grab one of these fantastic items!
Following the live auction Concordia Place’s Director of Advancement, Cameron Nelson, took the stage to introduce the 2017 GO Getters Jasin Alfaro & Nicole Dalesandro and the 2017 GO Champion, Rev. Arnold Pierson. Jasin’s captivating story of his personal journey to success hit home with many in the audience and prepared them for the introduction of Concordia Place’s President & CEO Brenda Swartz. Brenda led the way into the evenings fund-in-need where, with bidding paddles going up all over the room, they were able to raise over $77,000!
Between the interactive games and casino, silent auction, live auction and fund-in-need, this was Concordia Place’s most successful GoGala to date!
