On November 2, 2017, Children’s Brittle Bone Foundation hosted their Inaugural Poker Classic at The Porsche Exchange in Highland Park. The evening featured delicious food by Bub City & Portillo’s, a stocked bar featuring beverages from Heaven Hill, The Wine Group, and MillerCoors, and the chance to win great prizes at the charitable casino gaming tables. Featured prizes included $200 to Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chophouse, a makeover party for six at Blue Mercury Spa, and White Sox Tickets.
CBBF’s President, Bill Dierking, and Vice President of Events, David Coleman, took the stage to say a few words. Excitement was in the air as poker players took their seats and got ready for the tournament to begin while being surrounded by high-end Porsche vehicles. As the evening went on, the top 9 poker players were competing for prizes including the grand prize of the $10,000 WSOP main event seat in Las Vegas, Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Cubs tickets. Additional prizes included a seven-night stay at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida and a three-night stay at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
As the evening came to an end and the last deck of cards was shuffled, Andy Wright took home the coveted $10,000 WSOP main event seat prize.
