Mercy Home For Boys & girls Poker and Casino Night 2019

Mercy Home for Boys and Girls celebrated their 6th annual Poker and Casino night with another sold out crowd at Gibsons Steakhouse. As over 300 guests I arrived, they had the opportunity to check out the brand new 2018 Jeep parked outside which was one of the many raffle items guests could win that night. Upon entering, every attendee was given exciting giveaways at the registration table as Blank Label gave out a gift certificate for a free custom dress shirt and Rivers Casino passed out $100 in free match play to be redeemed at their casino!

As the evening started, guests enjoyed passed appetizers including mini crab cakes, assorted bruschetta and grilled lambchops before indulging in the full Gibsons dinner buffet featuring fried calamari, prime rib, and roasted turkey. Guests also enjoyed a fully stocked high end bar compliments of Chicago Beverage, Diageo, and Breakthru Beverage Group. Not only could guests sip on delicious craft cocktails all night but could also sample Kettle One Vodka and Bulleit Bourbon at their tasting tables.

Once the poker tournament commenced, the room was electric as each player was eager to earn one of the ten seats at the final table. Some of the sought-after poker prizes, aside from the grand prize of a $10,000 seat at the WSOP, were a 3-night stay at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, a Boston hotel stay with Red Sox tickets, Chicago Cubs tickets, Chicago Staycations and more!

With the tournament well under way, other guests enjoyed charitable gaming at the Rivers Casino sponsored blackjack tables to have a chance at winning exciting prizes including a one-night stay at London House Hotel, wine tastings by PRP Wine, Chicago Bulls tickets and more!

The evening concluded with a dessert spread featuring Gibsons’ infamous chocolate mousse cake, carrot cake, and key lime tarts and Joseph Fishella taking home the coveted $10,000 WSOP seat!
