ReVive Center’s Annual
Art of Giving Fundraiser

The ReVive Center for Housing and Healing celebrated their annual fundraiser, The Art of Giving, on Thursday, November 21st. Over 200 guests arrived at a new venue, Gallery1500, located in the New City area for a night of networking and fun!

As guests arrived, they were greeted by The Chicago Street Strings, an amazing duo consisted of a violinist and cello player. Throughout the evening, everyone enjoyed beverages courtesy of Tito’s Vodka, Heaven Hill Distilleries, MillerCoors and Revolution Brewery. Guests got to visit different food stations around the room representing different Chicago neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Little Italy, Pilsen, and Wrigley!

While guests dined and admired the vibrant room and silent auction, Rickey Rainbow & OTT Band took the stage to perform live music throughout the evening. They took a quick break to allow for a short live program. First up was Darlena Burnett, Event Co-Chair and wife of Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr. She thanked the crowd for their constant support and how she and her husband have formed a very personal connection to the ReVive Center over the years. A surprise speaker, Maximilian Smith, President of The ReVive Center Board, gave a special thank you to current president Jack Seymour who will be retiring at the end of the year. It was a very special moment for all in attendance.

Tim Soszko, the evening’s emcee jumped back on stage to give a few words before he introduced Jack Seymour, Executive Director of the ReVive Center, who thanked all the generous sponsors and introduced a video that showcased who ReVive was and why everyone’s support was so essential. It touched a lot of people’s hearts which showed in the fund-in-need which raised over $14,000!

The evening offered unique elements such as an interactive photo booth that allowed guests to take a picture and turn that photo into art with a fun mosaic filter. There was also a Stack-The-Deck raffle that guests could participate in where you had a 1 in 52 chance to win a 4 day / 3-night stay at Caesars Palace Las Vegas! There was also a 25-item silent auction that guests could bid on to take home other amazing prizes. Some of the prizes included Elite Island Resort Vacation Packages to the Caribbean, a weekend stay at Kohler in Wisconsin, a Bourbon & Whiskey Package, theater tickets and much more!

As the night wound down, guests enjoyed the many desserts that were on display including cake balls from West Town Bakery and an assortment of cookies and brownies from Artopolis Bakery. The event was a huge success and could not have been made possible without all the generous sponsors, donors, and guests who support the ReVive Center.
