Members and friends of the Security Traders Association of Chicago met for an evening of great fun at the poker tables at Gibsons Steakhouse and Hugo’s Chophouse on Rush Street. The prime location of the venue in the heart of Gold Coast helped set the stage for an incredible tournament. The classic decor and layout of the upper level at Gibsons & Hugo’s created an atmosphere perfect for both winning big and catching up over cocktails.
Over 160 guests participated in the poker tournament with prizes including Blackhawks Tickets, an Apple iWatch, Cubs Tickets, and a custom suiting package. The main prize up for grabs was seat at the Millionaire Maker Tournament in Las Vegas and a three-night stay at Caesars Palace. Guests enjoyed signature selections from the restaurants including a premium seafood tower, lamb chops, and carving stations as well as premium cocktails from Deep Eddy and Heaven Hill Distilleries. As the poker tournament waged on, high rollers opted to test their luck at the blackjack tables in hopes of taking home prizes from the casino raffle.
The Security Traders Association of Chicago is well known for giving back. In 2014, they were awarded the STA Biggest Heart Award. Their fundraising events give back to organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, The Night Ministry, After School Matters, and The Posse Fund and through their scholarship fund, which awarded 6 students with scholarships in 2015.
